The Mediterranean countries are connected historically, geographically and culturally with a common ambition: to jointly establish a future of peace, democracy, human, social and cultural understanding.

The cultural dimension of the Games should not be comprehended as single cultural events that enhance the sporting events, but as a chain of actions relating to peace - coexistence, reconciliation, truce, social cohesion, information society and connection of tradition with innovation.

Greece, the cities of Volos and Larisa as well as the wider Thessaly region have a lot to offer to promote the Mediterranean common cultural background.

The myth of Jason and the Expedition of the Argonauts, linking the host city of Volos and its symbol Argo to the Games, will serve as a platform for cultural exchanges between Mediterranean ports, transporting messages of peace and friendship, team spirit.
The contribution of all stakeholders and especially of young people is essential to creativity, to the future of culture, sports and heritage.
